When Reverend Cotton Marcus arrives on the rural Louisiana farm of Louis Sweetzer, he expects to execute just another “exorcism” on a troubled religious fanatic. An strong fundamentalist, Sweetzer has contacted the charismatic preacher as a last resort, confident that his teenage daughter Nell is possessed by a demon who must be exorcized before their terrifying torment ends in unthinkable tragedy.
