Starring Luke Sorge, Incubator is the story of a young man who wakes up in a motel bathtub full of ice and blood with a stapled wound on his side. At first he believes he’s the victim of organ theft, but soon discovers something much more sinister is at hand.
Incubator was a hit on the film festival circuit in 2011 and 2012. It was accepted to such prestigious festivals as Fantastic Fest (2011), Fantasia (2011) and Screamfest (2011). This success caught FEARnet’s attention and the horror broadcast network handpicked Incubator to be a part of its newly revived short film program.
Incubator has garnered positive reviews from numerous websites and magazines. Rue Morgue Magazine wrote, “A brilliant set-up leading to an intense denouement that moves in a Cronenberg-like direction.” Ain’t It Cool News wrote “Jimmy Weber zigs and zags through the small space of the hotel room, filling the viewer with a sense of claustrophobia and dread…Incubator is a damn cool short that will take you by surprise with its gory climax.”
Incubator is written and directed by Jimmy Weber and produced by Weber and Annie Baker under their production company moniker, Pretty People Pictures. The film was made in Denver, Colorado in March, 2010.
