Guy Woodhouse and his wife Rosemary move into a dream apartment, but they don’t know about the bad reputation of the building. They make friends with the neighbors which are an elderly couple named Roman and Minnie Castevet. Guy begins to spend a lot of time with them. Weird things start to happen like that of the mysterious death of a woman Rosemary meets in the washroom, Rosemary has strange dreams and starts to hear strange noises and Guy becomes remote and distant. Rosemary falls pregnant and she starts to suspect that her neighbors have special plans for her baby.

Dean Corso, is ruthless rare book dealer who is hired to find the last remaining books of The Nine Gates, which is a demonic manuscript that can summon the Devil. Corso becomes involved in a plot involving murder, theft and satanic rites, and ultimately finds himself confronting the devil incarnate.
