Three friends say they have been left terrified after coming face-to-face with what they believe could a WEREWOLF wreaking terror in Hull.
The city has been dogged by reports of the half-man, half-wolf beast, which some believe is a werewolf called Old Stinker, first sighted in Hull 200 years ago.
Like the title character in hit 1980s movie An American Werewolf in London, the Hull creature is described as having glowing eyes.
And the legend seems to have been given further credence after Jemma Waller said she spotted a hairy beast while she was driving with two friends.
Ms Waller was in the East Riding village of Halsham when she spotted the beast that she describes as looking like a big dog with a human face.
The 24-year-old, who works for a horse welfare charity, said: “We were driving down this country lane on our way to get some pizza and my friend in the back seat said that he had seen a fox.
“I looked on my driver’s side and saw this beast on all fours who started to walk straight towards my car on two legs.
“It looked like a big dog, probably bigger than my car, but it had a human face.
“It also had this cream and grey fur.
“My automatic reaction was to keep on driving, but thankfully it didn’t keep coming towards me.

“It just turned around and ran off diagonally.
“Everyone in the car was really shaken. We’d never seen anything like that before.”
In May, families were so concerned about the possibility of Old Stinker prowling the city’s roads they drafted in paranormal investigators.
The team scoured graveyards, allotments and abandoned factories by torchlight.
Families fear the werewolf could be lurking near factories and riverbanks in Hull
And shortly after midnight, they spotted the monster after hearing it crashing around in the undergrowth on the banks of Barmston Drain which flows through the city to Beverley.
Folklore expert Charles Christian was the first to spot something in the pitch black, but clouds drifted over the moon making it impossible to use his camera.
The barrister turned paranormal expert said: “I saw two eyes moving through the undergrowth. It was clear it was a large animal, not a cat
“It was moving very noisily. It did not seem afraid even though I was shining a torch at it. It seemed more curious.
“I would have been scared except I knew it was on the bank on the other side of the drain and it seemed an incredible distance to jump even for a werewolf.”
